1. Getting Started - Prepare for the repair 2. Remove Cover - Locate interior fuse box and remove cover 3. Locate Bad Fuse - Look at fuse box diagram and find the fuse for the component not working 4. Remove Fuse From Fuse Box - Take out the fuse in question and assess if it is a blown fuse 5. Test Component - Secure the cover and test component 6. The following procedure will let the HVAC module recalibrate the actuator positions. Pull the HVAC control fuse in the box in the passenger kick panel (pictured) for a minute with the engine off and key removed. This fuse is #15 on older trucks, but was #42 on mine. Check your manual for the right one, the manual labels it “climate control”.
Do not repair fuses and never replace a blown fuse with one that has a higher amp rating. This can cause damage to the electrical system and fire. Never replace a broken fuse with anything other than a new fuse. Use always an intact fuse of the same color. If a fuse blows again contact a qualified service center.
At the bottom right hand corner of the side of the fuse box is a "tab" or "latch" that you need to pull out and the door will then swing open. According to my owners manual the cigar lighter is #22 a 20 amp maxi fuse. Agree. On my Pace Arrow the power power was via a maxi fuse in this panel. Yes it is possible to wire a disconnect incorrectly. Look at the fuse holder. If there are two lugs at the top and two at the bottom, power to the top, load to the bottom, with the fuses in between. If there are two lugs on eighther side of the fuse holder, outboard are power, inboard are load. If you pulled both wires off the 50 amp breaker
